Work starts to increase unskilled labour's pay

The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking today resolved to set up a working group to study a pay increase to unskilled labour, which account for 60-70 per cent of the entire labour force.

The pay could be raised 5-10 per cent on top of minimum wages, according to the Federation of Thai Industries, as a way to address income inequality.

Data of each industry is set for completion within 3 months.
