Online Registered Shipment Tracking is now available
eBay announced a partnership with Thailand Post, the leading postal services provider in Thailand, to help eBay sellers engage more effectively in cross border trade. As part of the partnership, Thailand Post has launched an improved International Registered Tracking System. Thai eBay sellers can now track their international shipments after they have left Thailand via Track & Trace, within 2 to 3 working days at http://www.thailandpost.com/track_register .
Special pricing discounts and privileges will also be offered to eBay PowerSellers in Thailand. eBay PowerSellers should look out for email invitations sent to their eBay accounts by July 1 st , 2010. To be eligible for eBay's PowerSeller programme, sellers must generate over US$3,000 (around Bt 97,200) in merchandise sales on eBay per month. For International Registered Mail services, there will be 15% discount, with the option to schedule pick-up one day in advance at Bt100 per location, or have daily pick-ups for Bt2,500 per month. For express delivery by EMS World services, there will be 12% discount, with free pick-up from Mondays to Saturdays. Participating post offices include those located in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathumthani, Samutprakan, Chantaburi and Chiang Mai.

Additionally, with our improved online registered shipment tracking system (Track & Trace) in place, eBay sellers will not only be able to provide superior international shipping services but also important delivery status information to their buyers, thereby putting their minds at ease," said Anusra Chittmittrapap, Senior Executive Vice President Marketing and Business Development at Thailand Post . "The current improvement is just the first step in our commitment to support e-commerce in Thailand. Over the next few months, we will continuously improve our registered shipment tracking services, with the aim of enabling complete end-to-end online tracking for registered mails by the end of this year".
"One of the major challenges for cross border eBay sellers is to be able to provide delivery status information to international buyers as soon as the item has been shipped," said Ms. Allis Ghim, Director at eBay , who oversees Southeast Asia and Japan . "With the new online tracking service by Thailand Post, eBay sellers will be able to track their shipments easily and quickly. The delivery status information can also act as a proof of shipment which can help alleviate common eBay item-not-received disputes."
To take part in the eBay and Thailand Post promotion, eBay PowerSellers should register with their eBay ID at http://export.ebay.co.th/thailandpost/index.html and print out a discount card by July 15, for use at a Thailand Post participating counter from July 15 th to October 15 th , 2010.
