Bangkok Bank staffs on Wednesday visited detained Pheu Thai candidate for July's by-election Kokaew Pikunthong in a prison to open a bank account for him.
The bank account will be an official account for campaign spending of Kokaew who has been detained on terrorism charge. Kokaew would sign documents to open the account. He was one of the hard core leaders of the red shirts movement and is among several leaders who are charged of terrorism. He was said to be the first candidate who will run in an election while in detention. Visiting him after the bank staffs were Kokaew campaign staffs who asked him to check campaigning posters.
