A team of Austrian veterinarians will next month sterilise more than 200 stray dogs on the tourist island of Koh Lipe, off Satun province.
The operation, to be performed on July 7 to 11, was organised by a group of Austrian tourists who visit the island and issue with tourist business owners.
Many dogs initially taken in as pets are later abandoned in the tourist islands. Those already sterilised will have tags attached to their ears, the provincial livestock office said.
