Two Kasembundit University students were arrested yesterday in connection with a booze party-turned-brawl on Thursday night during which two students were shot and knifed.
After an orientation meeting, a group of mechanical engineering students and another gang of electrical engineering majors started drinking at a restaurant in front of the university. After the EE group broke a beer bottle, the ME group taunted them. The swearing match broke out into fist fight that continued until a gunshot was heard and EE student Papinwit Singkham, 25, was shot in the neck and his friend Kongsak Rakkwan, 23, was stabbed in the stomach.
Prapat reportedly confessed to wounding Kongsak with the scissors and was charged with attempted murder.
Sarayuth was charged with possessing a gun, which he reportedly didn't take to the party, and ammunition without a permit.
Police would look for other suspects in the shooting of Papinwit.
