Government House will host a merit-making ceremony to be participated by representatives from five major religions Thursday morning, former PM's Office Minister Satit Wongnongtaey said Tuesday.
The ceremony, to be presided over by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, is aimed at boosting the Thai public's morale and bringing back peace, Satit said.
Worshippers of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Brahminism and Sikhism will take part in the ceremony.
Tuesday, business operators in the Rajprasong area held a ceremony in homage of Brahmin deities located inside different premises around the city's main shopping area.
