SCB Securities Co Ltd has appointed Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Kiattisak Jenwipakul (Andy) as managing director of its Research Group, and Sukit Udomsirikul as senior vice president of the Research Group's Retail Strategy Department, with immediate effect.
The appointments are in line with the group's bid to boost its research profile by providing quality investment research papers that meet the decision-making requirements of both institutional and retail investors.
SCB Securities President & CEO ML Thongmakut Thongyai noted that the company has always placed its top priority on providing quality information to both institutional and retail investors in order to enable them to make market decisions in line with market situations.
"To further that goal, the company plans to combine all research work categories in packages for both individual and institutional investors," he said.
Kiattisak has more than 10 years experience in the investment field as a securities analyst and fund manager both in Thailand and abroad. His work covers the analysis of securities in various industries listed on exchange markets in Hong Kong, China, and Thailand. Before joining the SCB Group he was head of H-share Research and assistant portfolio manager at the Shanghai office of Ellerston Capital, a leading hedge fund headquartered in Australia.
Sukit also has over 10 years of experience in Thailand's capital market and was awarded 'Outstanding Strategist' by the Securities Analysts Association in 2007 and 2008. In addition, he plays an active role as a columnist and speaker at various institutions and seminars. Before joining SCB Securities, he served as senior assistant managing director at Siam City Securities Co Ltd.
