SIRIRAJ HOSPITAL

Well-wishers head to Siriraj to sign book for HM

Crowds of well-wishers streamed to Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital to sign their best wishes for His Majesty the King as soon as the Royal Household Bureau opened the desk for the first time yesterday.

Among the visitors were Thailand's Islamic spiritual leader Chularatchamontri Arziz Pitakkumphol; members of the Central Islamic Committee; teachers and students from the Chitralada School; as well as members of the Phurukhun Phaendin Club.

Arziz said His Majesty was like a father to the public and a perfect example of a simple lifestyle, and that he, on behalf of Thai Muslims, wished His Majesty good health and longevity.

A conservation exhibition, featuring activities such as Miss Recycle Beauty Pageant and a flower contest are also being held at the hospital until Sunday to mark the June 6 World Environment Day.
