RAJPRASONG RALLY

Women, children and elderly people urged to leave rally

The Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES) on Sunday urge women, children, elderly people joining Rajprasong rally to abandon the protest and return home.

Thai Red Cross officials and NGO staffs will go to the rally site and persuade the target group to leave the protest.

CRES spokesman Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd said that vehicles would be arranged for them if they agree to return home.

"Media is also invited to observe the campaign," the spokesman said.

The campaign will end on Monday at 3pm, he said, adding penalities for them would also be reduced.

If any men want to join the campaign, they are welcomed but they must not have weapons or be disarmed.
