KBank bullish on corporate loan business



Kasikornbank has kicked off its "ThinK" concept, to become the top bank of choice of large-sized corporate clients.

Offering total solutions - from financial advice, innovative products to commitment - the bank this year aims to serve 25 per cent of companies having annual sales of Bt400 million or higher. Last year, it offered its services to 23 per cent of such companies, which number about 10,000 nationwide.

Vasin Vanichvoranun, executive vice president of KBank, noted that these companies demonstrate differences in organisational sizes, management and expertise, aside from industrial varieties. As such, they prefer different and specific demand. The "ThinK" concept embodies three important factors: Think Through, Innovate and Keep Commitment.

In offering the right financial advice under the "Think Through" concept, over 450 customer relations officers are stationed to provide advice to companies in up to 21 industries. They will be assisted by over 1,000 product managers and the bank's expertise.

Under the "Innovate" concept, KBank is also inspired to offer tailor-made solutions such as payroll service solutions, money transfer, or corporate payment cards. All the services and products would be catered to clients in a timely manner.

"We're ready to help them in everything and help them solve business problems in a timely manner, Despite obstacles, we're committed to break it through as that influences clients' success" he said.

"ThinK" is expected to help the bank boost its fee-based income by 18 per cent this year to Bt13.4 billion and corporate loans by 3-5 per cent. In the first quarter, loans to large-sized corporates expanded 3 per cent year on year.

Target clients are those in the sectors which will benefit from the government's spending like power plants, property, construction, communications, and some export-oriented companies involved in the electronics, automobile, and food industries.
