Late singer's relatives don't suspect foul play

Relatives, who collected the body of former singer Porndecha "Jack" Sukharom from Siriraj Hospital yesterday morning, said they didn't suspect any foul play involving his death.

The body was taken for religious rites at Wat Thepsirin, where the cremation will be held on Saturday.

Jack's mother Thipsuda Sukharom said her son's life was getting better because his new wife had given birth a week ago and his health clinic was ready for operations. She said the family believed his death was an accident.

Police suspect that Jack's fatal fall from a Bangkok pedestrian bridge on Sunday night was either a suicide or an accident, because eye witnesses said he had gone up the bridge on his own and there was nobody else there.

Bangkok Noi Police, whose jurisdiction is Siriraj Hospital where Jack was pronounced dead, is awaiting autopsy results, which should be out in two or three weeks. Meanwhile, Makkasan Police, whose jurisdiction covers the area of the death, will soon interview Jack's relatives.
