Best wishes to His Majesty the King on the 60th anniversary of his coronation. It is a time to remember his love of the Thai people and his devotion to the improvement of the lives of the poor, particularly in the agricultural communities.
The agricultural projects of the King and Queen have brought great benefit to the country. His Majesty has also studied weather prediction and particularly cloud seeding in order to help the farmers. He is loved by his people and many expats.
Long live the King

Iranian cleric will have all the answers
You people are paying so much attention to this business about the red shirts, you are ignoring the really important stuff that affects the future of our planet. There is an Iranian cleric who has said that adultery causes earthquakes. This explains the earthquakes in China and Tibet. It refutes those stupid people who believe in plate tectonics. Does this mean the Chinese and Tibetans commit more adultery than anybody else? We need a statement from the Chinese government to confirm this.
This cleric, Mr Sedighi, implies that human immorality is the cause of all our problems. I agree. This was known to the Hebrew prophets and also the Egyptians and the Indian yogis. I want to know what causes volcanic eruptions and oil spills. I bet it has something to do with orgasms. Also the economic meltdown. You should interview this man and find out. We need more real wisdom in times like this.

Abhisit just can't make up his mind
It's deja vu all over again when PM Abhisit said the next election will be held on November 14. Had he been hooked up with a lie detector while he was saying it, the needle probably jumped off the meter.
When we had a referendum on the 2007 Constitution, the authorities persuaded us to vote "yes" and that we could amend it later. They also threatened us that if the Constitution was not passed, there would be no election. A lot of folks fell for it.
Judging from his past, PM Abhisit has no political stance. He sways according to his benefit. When the PAD was snarling at Samak's government, he begged Samak to dissolve the House. Now he says House dissolution is not the answer. When he was reminded of his vacillation, he retorted, "The situation is different."
Who knows, when November comes, the PM may say, "The situation has changed," or "I didn't say November 14, did I?" Or "My five objectives are not yet fulfilled." Or simply "I don't remember."

Thaksin interview a disgrace to journalism
I declined to purchase your newspaper on Monday when I saw that your feature headline article was an interview with the disgraced, convicted, fugitive felon. Why did you conduct such a disgraceful interview, and why would I ever want to read his lies? When this individual was the PM, an unfortunate time for Thailand, I viewed him as an arrogant and deluded megalomaniac. Today I view him as diabolical and evil, the same as Osama bin Laden, and as Thailand's little Hitler. He kicks back wherever he is, plays golf, and laughs as innocent people die or are injured due to his direct actions, and the actions of the ignorant fools who are his loyal followers. It is a situation much the same to that of Hitler and his die-hard, loyal followers. The only news I want to read about this miscreant is his obituary. That will be a great day for Thailand and the world, and it is a day I will celebrate.
