Home loan business intact from political impasse

Krisada Lamsam right expects the K-Up to You Home Loan campaign to attract more home buyers

Political impacts have not yet spread to home loans, said Kasikornbank, as most purchases are not for speculative purposes. Krisada Lamsam, executive vice president of the bank, noted that as such, there is no sign of a spike in non-performing loans.

The bank's NPL is now 2.29 per cent. Next week, it plans to launch measures to help clients affected by the protests.

KBank yesterday launched a free-style home loan campaign, expecting to boost loans by Bt20 billion during May and September. Clients can design their borrowing packages which include the installments, interest and accessories.
