Washington - US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton Sunday expressed New Years wishes to Thailand, saying she hoped it would be a "time of renewal and reconciliation."
Clinton noted the fact that Songkran "comes at a challenging time for Thailand," a reference to the conflicts between opposition protestors and the government that have left 20 people dead and 807 injured in recent days.
