The Big Mango gets an app
Bangkok is a big city filled with a mouthwatering array of big city choices, but now the latest iPhone app for the city, Groovy Bangkok, has GPS navigation to get you there.
At $2.99 a piece, the Groovy Bangkok app offers witty and insightful reviews of each city’s top attractions, tips and advice, as well as important “In ’n’ Out”, airporttocitycentre transport info.
The app is available from iTunes, and can be downloaded within seconds. Other cities like Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, and Singapore are expected in the next few months, and will be available for the Nokia, Blackberry, and Android phones.

New faces at Siam Kempinski
The Siam Kempinski Bangkok Hotel has appointed Roberto Conrad as Executive Chef and Mario Hofmann as Executive Sous Chef.
Both chefs are on board and preparing for the hotel opening in June.
Executive Chef Roberto Conrad (pictured), a Swiss national, has been working in leading fivestar international luxury hotels in China, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia since 1994.
Conrad will be responsible for the culinary performance of all food and beverage outlets, including the Brasserie Europa, the T Lounge and the 1897 lobby & cigar bar.
