Ditto Thailand granted Carbon Footprint label

Ditto (Thailand), a leader in the rental and distribution of reconditioned digital multi-function copiers, will feature the Carbon Footprint Label on its products as the commitment to integrating environmental responsibility with its business practice.

The company has passed Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO)'s assessment of the carbon emissions in the life cycle of goods and services. Yesterday, it signed a contract with TGO for the use of the label. So far, a total of 16 products have been approved for carbon footprint labels in Thailand.

"Carbon Footprint labelling guarantees manufacturers' standard of environmental management and encourages the public to choose eco-friendly products," said Teerathat Rattanakamolporn, Managing Director of Ditto (Thailand).

"Our eco-copy digital multi-function copier is an innovative Green Refreshing Product that has been developed for environmental preservation and reduction of CO2 emissions at every stage of production. This is why Ditto is trusted by many leading public and private organisations, and has been granted the right to use the Carbon Footprint label."

Founded in 1999, Ditto (Thailand) is active in renting and distributing reconditioned, digital, multi-function copiers. It provides improved solutions based on the 'Eco-Copy' concept: reconditioned copiers maximise the use of electronic equipment while minimising waste. Using these green refreshing products will ensure maximum cost reduction and a higher competitive edge.

Ditto's sole supplier, Siam Recondition Industry, the largest re-manufacturing and re-conditioning facility in Asia, also has the right to use the Carbon Footprint label on its reconditioned Canon IR 4570 copier, as it has passed the evaluation for greenhouse gas emissions in every manufacturing procedure.

Siam Recondition Industry is one of 15 pilot plants selected by TGO for its carbon footprint promotion project. The label shows the total greenhouse gas emissions at every stage of the product's lifecycle, from material selection and production to transport, preparation, use and disposal.
