Some 30,000 red-shirt protesters occupy the roads around the bustling Rajprasong shopping area Saturday as part of the stepped-up effort to force the government to dissolve the House.
The demonstration prompted all department stores to be closed on security concern. It is estimated as some Bt300 million of revenues of the stores were lost per day.
The protester leaders threatened to stay overnight and may prolong the rally at the site the paralyze Bangkok.
