In honour of its 35th anniversary, the Stock Exchange of Thailand has launched the SET Junior Financial Club 2010, aimed at instilling a sense of financial discipline and saving behaviour in youth.
President Patareeya Benjapholchai yesterday said the club would allow youth to understand the basics of financial planning and investment and look to the future.
Moreover, they can share their new knowledge with friends and family, because sound finances are more important today than ever before.
Applications are being accepted nationwide for 400 youths to participate in the SET JFC 2010, under the theme of "Fly Smart to Your Future".
Separate workshops will be held in Khon Kaen, Songkhla, Bangkok and Chiang Mai, consisting of group problem-solving activities and hands-on learning.
