A small vineyard, Hua Hin Hill, is celebrating its 2010 harvesting season between March 20 and 21 and you don’t have to be Dionysus to enjoy the fun. The party takes place at Hua Hin Hill wine gallery " 40 kilometres west of the coast. Enjoy grape picking, wine tasting and a fusion menu of steamed rice wrapped in Syrah leaf or seafood salad with young Chenin Blanc leaf.

Shaken and stirred

Jazz up the summer breezes in Cha Am with trumpet and saxophone, as the Phetchaburi beach destination gets ready to host the Singha Frappe Music Fiesto on April 3. Tropical treats

You can see the very best of Berlin’s Ethnological Museum on show in Bangkok by going along to the Jim Thompson Art Centre until June 12. The art exhibition, named “The Tropics " View from Middle of the Globe”, focuses on the works of artists living in the tropical zone  Mexico, Nigeria, Ghana, India and Indonesia, for example. All these fine pieces of art, which include African tribal masks and wooden dolls, are on loan from the Ethnological Museum in Berlin.

The exhibition is enhanced by contemporary works contributed by artists from South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Culture on the hill

Phetchaburi province celebrates Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park with its annual festival from April 10 to 19. This huge and vibrant cultural showcase, feting Palace Hill " or Khao Wang  features enjoy folk art, oxcart racing, beauty contests and fireworks.

King Mongkot (Rama IV) established the Palace Hill on the top of mountain in 1859, and it’s now a popular destination in Phetchaburi, which is about two hours by car from Bangkok.
