Kasikornbank has launched the free home care service to all Thais, offering free insurance against theft and fires during the Songkran holidays, to celebrate the huge growth in its Bancassurance business.
In 2009, the business grew 80 per cent.
Registration for the free 10-day service will begin March 19. In case of fire and theft, homeowners are entitled to coverage of upto Bt100,000 and Bt10,000, respectively from Muang Thai Insurance.
KBank Executive Vice President Krisada Lamsam said the "KBank Looks After Your Home" campaign reaffirms the bank's intention to become a leader in providing integrated services for individual customers under the "Leave Everything In Our Hands" campaign.
"Through this service, the bank aims to express our appreciation to our customers for their support of our Bancassurance activities, as well as provide an opportunity for those who are not yet our customers to try our high-quality service, in line with our strategy to win peoples' hearts. The bank expects 100,000 homes to be covered by this campaign."
The bank's insurance business has reported continued growth. The premiums of new customers during the past three years, 2007 - 2009, have increased more than 80 percent per year, of which the first-year premiums accounted for Bt17.4 billion. From this positive response, the bank has targeted an amount of premiums in 2010 at Bt10 billion, or a rise of 120 percent from 2009.
