Chaturon: Non-violence struggle will lead to victory

Chaturon Chaisang, banned executive of Thai Rak Thai Party leader, countered the statement by the Red Siam leader that the number of red-shirt supporters had dropped saying more people joined the campaign and more support from the province had poured in.

“The red-shirt protesters have shown that they take part in the campaign not because of bribe money but they volunteer to sacrifice their own comfort. The fighting is not for any particular person but for democracy and justice,’’ he said.

Chaturon said as long as the red shirts unwaveringly upheld non-violence to fight for democracy and justice, they would never lose.

“We will be more and more successful as we get more and more support for our non-violence struggle,’’ he said.
