Police on Friday reported three bombing attacks in Surat Thani, the hometown of Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thuagsuban.
The bombs were home-made and planted near electricity poles at separate locations. No damages and casualties reported.
Police were alert at about 5am by villagers who heard sounds of explosions. Initial investigaton showed that the blasts hit three spearate areas; Bang Yai Bridge, a site near post office and a site near an army camp.
Police then held an urgent meeting to reinforce the security in the area.
