Commissioners have been given phone numbers of police officers for protection and emergencies, and all important files containing investigations and cases have been moved from the commission's regular office across from Government House.
The Office of Civil Service Commission and the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission are also ready to evacuate their offices.
Bomb hoaxes yesterday resulted in officials at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation being evacuated in the morning and the Justice Ministry in the afternoon. Bomb disposal efforts also resulted in traffic jams.
The first bomb hoax turned up a doll and a parcel containing tea leaves, and the second hoax an empty tennis ball can with electrical wires protruding from it.
