US-based General Imaging is introducing its GE-branded digital cameras in Thailand, expecting to reap 5 per cent market share in the first year thanks to the strong brand and low prices.
Tsutomo Haga, CEO of General Imaging, said Thailand shows huge potential with the number of 1 million cameras and the growing number of users. Central Trading is appointed the distributor.
Starting business 3 years ago, General Imaging has expanded its business from the US, to Europe and 8 countries in Asia. It also looks to expand to Dubai, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
