Fifty nine companies listed on the Market for Alternative Investment showed combined earnings of Bt2.2 billion in 2009, down 26 per cent from the same period a year earlier. Their combined revenue also dropped 12 per cent on year to Bt49.8 billion.
However, the fourth-quarter results rose 69 per cent on quarter.
Of all, 47 companies showed positive earnings. And 11 companies had shown positive net profits for over 10 consecutive quarters.
