AirAsia has joined forces with King Power Duty Free to offer online shopping for duty-free products.
Passengers on AirAsia's international routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport can now shop for brand-name items online and pick up their purchases at King Power on the day of travel.
Tassapon Bijleveld, chief executive officer of Thai AirAsia, said on the occasion of Thai AirAsia's sixth anniversary yesterday that the carrier would continue to strive to improve its services and modernise facilities for a more convenient and cost-saving experience for passengers.
He said this year would see the introduction of a fleet of Airbus A320s on all routes, as well as online shopping at King Power Duty Free through www.airasia.com.
Sombat Dechapanichakul, King Power group managing director, said his company had begun to provide services through new channels, adding to passengers' convenience.
Passengers who travel internationally on AirAsia can now shop for cosmetics, perfumes, watches, jewellery, electronic goods and a range of gifts online.
"After purchasing items through the website, passengers can pick up the goods on the day of travel by showing their e-receipt, passport and boarding pass at the King Power Pick-Up Counter at Suvanabhumi's international departure hall," he said.
