Arrest warrants have been issued for seven people suspected to be behind the grenade attacks in Bangkok's Klong Toei market last Sunday night following fights between two rival groups of vendors.
Legal problems and business conflicts between two groups of vendors erupted after the concession of the market was granted to a new operator last year. There have been clashes since then resulting in two deaths and several injuries.
The remaining suspects, all male, were identified as Wiwat Thepsupha, 26, who allegedly coordinated the attacks; Porramee Thepmanee, 26; Jirasak Phaebanyong, 29; Sorrayuth Chuenban, 36; and Ek Klingkaew, 27. They all face charges including attempted murder, property damage and possessing explosives. The two women have been charged with masterminding attempted premeditated murder and criminal conspiracy.
Bangkok police chief Pol Lt-General Santhan Chayanont said the male suspects were in hiding and would be found soon.
