Tamarine Tanasugarn has set up an allveteran clash with Japanese legend Kimiko Date Krumm as they square off today in the quarterfinals of the US$75,000 Dunlop World Challenge Tennis Tournament in Toyota, Japan.
Tamarine, 32, had an easy win over Japan's Remi Tezuka 61 61 while the 39yearold cruised past Russia's Ksenia Lykina 61 60 in their second round clashes..
Both met once in the final of the US$50,000 event in Gifu last year which the Thai prevailed in three sets 46 75 62.
"She is now in a better shape than the last time we played. I'm just an underdog because she will be driven by the home fans. But I will do my best and play with patience," Tamarine said.
