Police yesterday sought an arrest warrant for the owner of an unregistered fireworks factory in Samut Prakan who fled after it exploded on Tuesday,killing one worker.
Deputy National Police chief Jongrak Juthanont led forensic officers to inspect the scene and interview neighbours in the morning.
He instructed Phra Pradaeng police to gather evidence and press charges against the owner as soon as possible.
The one-hour meeting of case investigators heard that the house where Som Eiumpetch, 46, head security guard at Thanapornchai Warehouse Co, lived with his family was modified into a fireworks factory with some 10 workers.
The blast also wounded 22 people and damaged several homes and cars in the area.
Victims were given forms to fill out for property damage and compensation assessment. Seven severely wounded victims were still hospitalised.
