Siriphong Kanjananiwit, who is suspected of killing a mother and her young son, was yesterday handed over to public prosecutors, who are scheduled to formally file charges by November 7.
The suspect, believed to have shot dead Sunant Srisuwan before killing and mutilating her fiveyearold son Cho Makino and injuring the boy's halfsister Phichaya Jongngarmwilai in a shooting rampage, has been charged for seven offences. The charges include murder, attempted murder, hiding or destroying a body, theft, sexual molestation, restraining freedom as well as illegally possessing and carrying firearms without permission.
The 40yearold taxi driver protested his innocence on restraining or sexually molesting 13yearold Phichaya. He is under court custody at the Bangkok Remand Prison.
