Murder victim's valuables found

Police yesterday retrieved some of the missing valuables belonging to a 38-year-old woman killed last weekend by her Bangkok cabbie boyfriend, who also confessed to the gruesome murder of her five-year-old boy.

The police declined to reveal where and how they had found the valuables, fearing it could affect their attempt to trace the victim's other valuables.

Assistant national police chief Pol Lt-General Asawin Kwanmuang said the valuables included a Bt300,000 Rolex wristwatch, gold ornaments weighing 8 baht, four gold-rimmed amulets, ¥16,000 (Bt5,880) in cash, and a notebook detailing the instalment for the taxi, which was used by the suspect, Siriphong Kanchannaniwit, 40, in the crime.
