MCDonald sponsors FAT

McDonald's has signed a sponsorship deal worth Bt90 million with the Football Association of Thailand yesterday.

The American fast good chain held the press conference at Esplanade Cineplex Ratchada to announce its partnership with the association, with the current members of national squad in attendance.

The three-year contract will take effect from next month, which will see the organisation receive financial support worth Bt30 million each year: Bt25 million in cash while the rest comes in the form of the company's products.

McDonald's became the latest partner of the association. The others are Chang, PTT and Nike, who combined provide around Bt70-80 million each year.

Meanwhile, Worawi Makudi, the FAT president, revealed ex-Manchester United player Bryan Robson would arrive in the capital on October 16 to be officially unveiled as the new national coach.
