Buying a land near Siam Paragon, Chidlom BTS station and Ploenchit BTS station, ones need by pay as high as Bt1 million per square wa, according to a survey by Agency for Real Estate Affairs Co Ltd.
The agency reported that a recent transaction for a 2-rai plot near Central Chidlom involved the price of Bt1.2-Bt1.5 million per square wa.
Silom area, near Bangkok Bank's headoffice, is the second priciest area, with the estimated price of Bt850,000.
In 1994, when the land price survey started, Silom was the priciest area, with the price tag of Bt500,000 per square wa. The agency noted that the change is attributable to the electric train, which increases the commercial value of land in the Siam Centre area.
