Watchmaker Vabene offers a dial-design contest
Italian watchmaker Vabene needs help making its new timepiece. Do you have any ideas for a design for the watch face?
"VaBene … Originally Yours" is a contest for creative minds, with Bt20,000 in cash awaiting the winner and Bt10,000 for each of the two runners-up.
What the company wants is a picture that reflects the timepiece's philosophy - fun, fashion, art, love and good sense.
Download the application form at www.VaBeneDesign|Contest.com and work up an idea - a drawing, rendered graphic or photograph - within a 39-millimetre circle on an A4 sheet of paper.
Write out an explanation and parcel it off to 1222/22 Rama IV Road, Klong Toei, Bangkok 10110, or e-mail it to vabenedesigncontest@gmail.|com by August 15.
Repeat as many times as you like. There's no limit on submissions, but everything has to be original - no copying your Mickey Mouse watch.
VaBene's own designer, Giorgio Grimoldi, and other judges will mull over the entries, and the winner will be announced on the website on August 31.
