Looter - another kind of thief

A looter is a person that takes things by force from houses, shops or offices during a violent event.

looter มาจาก กริยา to loot ซึ่งคาดได้ไม่ยากว่าหมายถึง ขโมยสิ่งของต่างๆ ในภาวะที่มีเหตุการณ์รุนแรง to steal things from shops, churches, offices, etc, during a war or other violent situation.

Hungry villagers looted many shops for food and drinks.

แต่ loot นี้ไม่ได้ใช้เป็นกริยาเสมอไป บางครั้งใช้เป็นคำนามนับไม่ ก็ได้ โดยความหมายก็อยู่ในข่ายเดียวกัน คือ หมายถึง loot also means money or valuable items that soldiers took from an enemy after they have defeated them. หรืออีกความหมายหนึ่ง money or goods that have been stolen or taken illegally.
