With all the discussion of the election and voting in Thailand, thoughts turn to the United Kingdom.

There may well be a People’s Vote on Brexit in the UK. Britons living and working in Thailand need to register to vote. Information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/voting-when-abroad.

The Liberal Democrats Overseas seek a vote for life (abolition of the 15 year rule) for those abroad, a polling station at an embassy or consulate, and an MP to represent Britons abroad. There are many concerns such an MP can deal with: frozen state pensions, spousal visas, and the status of children seeking higher education in the UK, for example. It is a globalised world now.
