Re: “Why worship at the altar of atheism?”, Have Your Say, yesterday.
Motogozzibob is right in pointing out that neither believers nor atheists can prove they are right. But what’s so ironic is that atheists have made nature their “God”. We are supposed to believe that nature – without any explanation of where it originally came from – somehow knows what we need for survival and is kind enough to provide us with these needs. (How can nature, which has no consciousness, have so much wisdom?) To believe that requires just as much faith as it does to believe in God.
But since the believers believe in a supernatural force, unlike the atheists, they don’t owe us a scientific explanation.
