A whiff of something rotten and dishonest in diet debate

Ye Olde Pedant suggests that maybe Simon Ordsall, who recently went on a tirade against vegetarians, might have changed his mind since previously claiming to be a vegetarian.

Yet just a few days ago Ordsall wrote “all normal people” eat meat. So in less than a year he went from being abnormal to normal. What happened to cause this miraculous transformation? Shock therapy? A religious experience?

Meanwhile another “vegetarian”, Michael Setter, attacks every argument promoting vegetarianism while not writing a single word in response to those who write letters promoting meat-eating.

Oh well, it’s my turn to play this game. I am really a cattle rancher, and that should give enormous credibility to my claim that the meat industry is responsible for wreaking havoc on the environment, destroying human health and committing atrocities against the animals. Now it’s Jenny Moxham’s turn to admit she owns a McDonald’s franchise and for Diane Cornelius to tell us she is the public relations director for a slaughterhouse!
