Michael Setter is an irresponsible crackpot! Yes, we do need cholesterol, but we don’t need to consume it. To make a comparison, the fact that we need blood doesn’t mean we should drink it.
If cholesterol has nothing to do with heart disease then how come it is extremely rare for anyone with a cholesterol number below 150 to get a heart attack?
Setter says we should “look it up”. Great idea! Google: “Cholesterol and heart disease WebMD” and you’ll see Setter doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
I know I get very angry at certain letter writers. But when they give out misinformation that can cost people their lives, outrage is the only reaction I’m capable of.
