I am writing to advise you that I really enjoy reading the online version of The Nation and keeping up to date with Thai and Asean news.

I live in Melbourne, and the Australian newspapers are totally inadequate sources for regional news focusing on Australian, American, European and New Zealand stories, denying us a proper sense of geography and of our regional interaction with neighbouring nations and their diverse peoples, to the detriment of all Australians. I hope that Australia can join Asean in the future and become regionally reunited, and that our media and news follow this trend. While immigration from around the world has diversified Australian society, we still need to build bridges with our neighbouring nations. For this reason I am so glad that you have a newspaper in English which is comprehensible to Australians and accessible on the Internet.
