I fail to see what people being either elected to or chosen for posts has to do with reforming the police department and educational system. For years we have had elected politicians who wouldn’t touch these areas with a 10-foot pole.
The police have traditionally had a few heads changed as political parties come to power and align with them. I doubt most elected politicians care about education because their kids go to private school and they would rather that other people remain ignorant as possible.
People chant about democracy, yet they ignore the law on a daily basis. Education and proper law enforcement would solve the problems.
