Hong Kong Airlines is gearing up for the high season by launching direct flights between Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

The service, which starts from December 18, will be served by Airbus A350 aircraft and the all-in ticket fare from Bangkok to LA via Hong Kong route starts at Bt19,090 for economy class and Bt95,300 for business class.

From December 18 to January 15, there will be two flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday increasing to two flights daily from January 16 to March 24.

“Following the success of Vancouver route, we are excited to set up the first destination in the continental United States to further expand our international network. The launch of Los Angeles route will strengthen the connection with our well-developed Asia Pacific network, thus providing more travel options for business, leisure, academic and family travellers. It will also serve to promote Hong Kong Airlines’ brand image to more parts of the world,” said Li Dianchun, chief commercial officer of Hong Kong Airlines.

Los Angeles is where the Hollywood dream factory begins, with an exhaustive array of fun things to do for every type of traveller – beach lovers can never resist soaking in the sun and sea of California, while glittering lights and extravagant shows in Las Vegas keep fun seekers in awe. For cultural and art fans, downtown LA is the perfect place to enjoy world-class museums and performances, and make the hop to the Grand Canyon where Mother Nature delivers a geographical masterpiece.
