Si Sa Ket province welcomes summer this weekend with its annual Dok Lam Duan Flower Festival that runs from Friday through Sunday in the Princess Mother Memorial Park.
More than 50,000 trees will be in full bloom with the fragrant Melodorum fruticosum petals as locals and visitors enjoy cultural shows and delicious Northeast dishes. The event is held concurrently with the Four Tribes Annual Cultural Festival with ethnic Lao, Khmer, Kui and Yoe groupings each showcasing their unique culture.
Flying with an iPad
Bangkok Airways is now offering Blue Ribbon Class (Business Class) passengers iPad minis as in-flight entertainment. The iPad minis, which are supplied by Bluebox Avionics, come equipped with a wide range of movies including the latest Hollywood releases, TV shows and music along with various interactive games. During the trial period, this service will be available on flights between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)-Maldives, Samui-Hong Kong and Samui-Singapore.
