Mandarin Oriental Bangkok morphs into the perfect holiday destination with glittering lights, seasonal decorations and a selection of festive fare with gourmet cuisine at its restaurants and bars.



Ring in the New Year at the Riverside Terrace under the stars on the banks of Chao Phraya River. The evening starts at 7.30pm with welcome cocktails in the Authors’ Lounge garden and continues with a gala dinner and entertainment. Dress in your finest black-tie attire and dance to the renowned Sun Band. In addition to signature cocktails, highlights include a buffet with international and Thai delicacies courtesy of executive chef Dominique Bugnand. Prices are Bt20,000 for adult and Bt13,500 for child.

Guests may opt to welcome the New Year in traditional ambience at Terrace Rim Naam amidst the classic beauty of Siamese culture and cuisine, showcased in a Thai seafood buffet with an array of regional specialities. Guests will also enjoy live Thai entertainment as well as tunes from a Western duo ringing in the New Year. The evening starts at 7.45pm with welcome cocktails in the Authors’ Lounge garden and continues with an authentic Thai dinner buffet and entertainment. Adult pays Bt8,500 while the price per child is Bt4,000.

For food and wine connoisseurs, there is no more romantic place on New Year’s Eve than Le Normandie where Chef Arnaud and his team are presenting the finest French cuisine in eight-course menu. After dinner, guests are welcome to join the entertainment at the Riverside Terrace. Prices are Bt20,000 per person for both adult and child.

The China House, with its 1930's Shanghai Art Deco ambiance, is the perfect place to welcome 2018 with its menu of home-made Cantonese specialities. After dinner, guests are welcome to join the entertainment at the Riverside Terrace. The cost is Bt8,200. 

Lord Jim’s will delight seafood aficionados with a signature seven-course menu in a festive atmosphere for Bt16,500. 

The festivities continue on New Year’s Day with a special invitation to join the annual first of January cocktail party in the Royal Ballroom to the sounds of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.

Lord Jim’s will celebrate the first day of 2018 with seafood buffet for Bt4,000 for adult and Bt2,000 for child, while the China House will offer a Cantonese brunch for Bt1,900 for adult and Bt1,400 for child.

Gather friends and family for a New Year’s Day brunch overlooking the Chao Phraya River at the Riverside Terrace. The brunch includes gourmet selections and a dessert bar with an assortment of signature Oriental delicacies. Prices are Bt2,710 for adult and Bt708 for child.
