With its renowned collection of restaurants, the Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai offers one of the finest dining experiences in the North and enhances its prime position by holding special food and beverage promotions at each restaurant every month.

Though often regarded as a French speciality, frog legs have long been a typical ingredient in several Thai delicacies as well. Throughout this month, guests can enjoy a collection of inspired dishes featuring frog legs at Le Grand Lanna Thai restaurant. They include spicy frog leg soup filled with fresh vegetables and sauteed frog legs bursting with flavour thanks to the addition of northern Thai herbs.

While adults soak up the wooden open-air restaurant’s exotic appeal and enjoy their meal, children will remain entertained watching traditional Thai dances performed every evening.  Prices start at Bt320 a dish.

Step into Fujian and be transported to another time and place. Housed in a mid-19th century Sino-Portuguese building, the restaurant serves Cantonese and contemporary Chinese fare in a charming decor evoking a bygone and more graceful era.

This month’s special menu caters to vegetarians but the dishes, which include braised eggplants and tofu in a black bean sauce, and Szechuan-style stirfried vegetarian chicken with succulent shimeji mushrooms and macadamia nuts, will appeal to meateaters too. Fujian’s full menu is also available with favourite recipes prepared in regional cooking styles. Prices start at Bt380 per dish.

Farang Ses serves fine French cuisine overlooking verdant rice fields. This month, guests can enjoy a selection of the chef’s contemporary dishes featuring crayfish, such as a velvety crayfish veloute, compressed pasta with crayfish mousseline and a delicate cardinal sauce, and farm-raised chicken with crayfish, capsicum confit and Port sauce.  Savour the last drops of the evening with your choice of coffee or tea and a light pistachio puff pastry served with raspberry coulis. Prices start at Bt1,800 per person.

And you can also journey through the splendid flavours of Tuscany every Saturday at Allegro. The lively trattoria offers diners a true taste of the famed Italian region with a Toscano buffet lunch focused on simple, yet satisfying familystyle dishes, including antipasti, classic woodfired pizzas, homemade pastas, mains and delicate desserts. It’s priced at Bt850net and Bt1,400net with free flow sparkling wine.
