Munching on a mud crab

Up & Above restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok is offering a summer delight with a mud crab feast throughout September.



Found in river estuaries and costal mangroves particularly in Southeast Asia, fast-growing mud crabs are famous for their high flesh content and sweet taste.

The mud crab meal will start with a choice of two appetizers – mud crab spring roll with glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms and cabbage, or marinated fresh mud crab salad with avocado, spiced tomato salsa, and basil sauce.

Both are light and delicious preludes to succulent main courses that include risotto of mud crab with asparagus, tomatoes, and tarragon, stir-fried mud crab seasoned with yellow curry powder and Thai celery and whole mud crab linguini with cherry tomatoes, green olives, basil, garlic and chilli.
