A significant occasion in Chinese culture, the Mid-Autumn festival falls on October 4 this year and is celebrated in the family, with exchanges of mooncakes among friends and family members after meals.

The moon is at its roundest and brightest at this time of the year and people give thanks for the unity and good fortune that this moon represents.

From August 5 to October 4, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will offer mooncakes presented in specially-designed leather gift boxes. The luxurious boxes offer a variety of mooncakes in four different flavours: durian and single yolk; custard; Jujube and single yolk; as well as lotus seed and single yolk.

The mooncakes are available at prices starting from Bt180 apiece and the box is priced at Bt1,600. To order, call (02) 126 8866 or email
