Thailand beat Timor through Worachit's header

Worachit Kanitsribumphen headed it home to spearhead Thailand to a 1-0 win over Timor Leste in the SEA Games football Pool B competition at the Selayang Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.



The header from the Worachit gave the defending champions their first win in the 29th SEA Games after the Kingdom were tied with Indonesia 1-1 in the first round-robin on Tuesday.

With four points from two games, Thailand are now third behind Vietnam (six points) and Indonesia (four points) in the pool. Only top two teams from will advance to the semi-finals against their counterparts in Pool A.

Thailand’s next match against Cambodia is due on August 20 at 7.45pm Bangkok time.
