World No 2 Ariya Jutanugarn won the Heather Farr Perseverance Award at the LPGA Rolex Players Awards at the Ritz-Carlton, at Naples, Florida on Thursday.
After a dismal 2015 season where he missed 10 successive cuts, the Thai redeemed her pride by winning five LPGA titles including the British Open this year (three straight titles in May). She is also eyeing on the Player of the Year award which will be decided after the LPGA Tour Championship on Sunday.
Ariya already played the first round of the LPGA season ending event and was at tied 32nd. She will win the Player of the Year if arch rival Lydia Ko of New Zealand fails to lift up the trophy at Naples on Sunday
