Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the Ginto Residences in Niseko, Japan, as the company introduces an elite series of stunning hotel and residential projects in travel destinations across Asia and Europe.

The first phase is a land release on which an exquisite collection of luxury villas will be built in Niseko, the mountain destination on the Japanese island of Hokkaido.

Nestled in pinewood forests at Ginto Hirafu, with access to ski lifts and white powder slopes, the Ginto Residences is a US$100-million development with 31 private villas, no single plot measuring less than 1,000 square metres.

The project breaks ground next month, with a completion date in 2019.

“It’s an exciting time for the Pavilions and we look forward to utilising the brand equity and the loyalty we have gained over 15 years of operating hotels and resorts to introduce an unprecedented residential offering,” says founder and chief executive Gordon Oldham.

“We are fully capitalised and have a strong development pipeline that embraces our core values of style, quality and active living – a combination we feel is particularly well suited to entrepreneurs and investors in Asia.”

The Pavilions Niseko is being developed right next to the Ginto Residences and is also scheduled to open in 2019.

The resort features 40 suites, a spa, indoor-outdoor onsen, gym, yoga studio and fine-dining restaurant.

Residents will enjoy privileged access to all of the hotel’s luxurious facilities and will be well placed to take advantage of the amenities available at Ginto Village, the destination’s boutique shopping and entertainment centre.
